The London Vagabond, also known as Gold and Cummings are London-based lovers, documentarians, and image-makers. Working together for nearly a decade, their practice focuses on sex, streets, and subcultures. Their work spans from documentation to fantasy, with a deliberate intention not to sanitise or obscure the realities they engage with.

Cummings is a self-taught analogue photographer whose roots lie in graffiti. His early work began as a visual diary - a raw documentation of the spaces he moved through and the people who populated them.

Gold has a formal art background; she’s a Bloomberg New Contemporaries alumna (2014) and a Fine Art graduate. She too has always had the desire to document her world and the people who occupy it.

The work they make together is partly a reflection of their lifestyle of male submission and female dominance, but also an honest and unapologetic portrayal of human behaviours. The artists themselves are often the subjects of their own work, as well as focusing their lens on the parts of society that often remain behind closed doors.
